Losecaat is a Director of Little Dipper Limited. Little
Dipper specialises in the provision of international marketing,
production and business consultancy.
Christine
Losecaat is Creative Industries Adviser to UK Trade & Investment. She
is tasked with the development and implementation of an international
trade development strategy for the British creative sector, by driving the
activities of government industry advisory groups: Creative
Exports Group (CEG) and Design Partners. She is also Co-Chair of the
Hong Kong / UK Business Partnership's Creative Industries Working Group.
Prior
to that, Christine was Managing Director of The British Design Initiative,
dedicated to promoting the development of export business through the
employment of effective design on an international basis. The British
Design Initiative’s core focus and expertise is design consultancy (all
disciplines) design led manufacture (all product sectors), innovation and
new technology. Its Internet site http://www.britishdesign.co.uk promotes
and provides access to a Design Directory and a Design News Service. The
organisation is now known as British Design Innovation.

Award winning co-producer of Peter
and The Wolf, Christine Losecaat was until 1997 Director International
Marketing at BMG Video International, a unit of BMG Entertainment,
the US$5.3 billion/year entertainment division of Bertelsmann AG, the
US$13.6 billion/year media enterprise.
Peter
and The Wolf,
the animated and live-action production starring Kirstie Alley, Lloyd
Bridges and Ross Malinger with animated characters created by Chuck Jones
was awarded The Outstanding Primetime Children’s Program Emmy® in
September 1996 as well as the Grand Award at the Houston International
Film Festival and the Silver Hugo at The Chicago Film Festival.
Whilst
at BMG Video International, Christine Losecaat was instrumental in setting
up the international video infrastructure and overseeing the marketing of
all central acquisitions. This involved extensive overseas travel and
resulted in 32 operating distribution entities worldwide, some of which
also had production capabilities. She had the pleasure of working on
prestigious titles such as Aardman Animations’ Oscar® winning Wallace
& Gromit, Editoy’s Pingu
and music programming by acclaimed artists including Jimi
Hendrix, Elvis Presley, Cher, Take That, Whitney Houston, and David
Bowie.
Christine
Losecaat started her career in the entertainment industry as “jack of
all trades” at Cream Advertising, one of
Europe
’s leading entertainment agencies. There, her roles varied from media
buyer to print buyer to account manager across all of Cream’s music/film
clients including EMI Records, PolyGram Video, British American Tobacco
and Puma Sportswear.
